Orientation program
The Orientation Program is conducted for all new students arriving on campus at the beginning of the semester. Students are provided with peer support through the Mentor Program. A briefing on the Australian culture and the Australian study style is part of the Orientation Program. Information is given to students regarding accommodation, student visa conditions, work permits, overseas heath cover, and use of information technology facilities within UniSQ Sydney. Students are also given a campus tour and are introduced to our staff. Please see attached Orientation Program for reference. The Orientation Program is held at Level 7 of the UniSQ Sydney campus.

Mentor Program
UniSQ Sydney organises the Mentor Program where new students get an opportunity to meet and interact with current students. This program assists new students in their adjustment and acts as a
support network. The representatives provide students with information on local community associations and cultural support groups. For further information please contact the Manager, Academic Services: lara@usqsydney.nsw.edu.au.
Academic Support
In addition to regular lectures and tutorials, students are provided with extra academic support such as revision tutorials and peer aided learning. All students must undertake Mandatory Academic Integrity Training so you can learn about academic integrity, how academic misconduct is managed at UniSQ and resources to help you with your referencing and writing. There are a number of study support resources and services for students to access.
Peer Tutorial Support
Additional tutorial support and peer tutoring is organised for students requiring academic assistance. This service has been beneficial to students experiencing difficulties in their studies. Counselling Services
UniSQ has a Wellness Team that provides counselling services to all currently enrolled UniSQ students. The UniSQ counselling service is designed to assist students in dealing with a wide range of problems including homesickness, balancing your studies with other commitments, managing stress, working through relationship or family issues, improving motivation, managing psychological problems and coping with distressing situations. Student Support Services
UniSQ provides student support and information in areas of health and wellbeing, disability support, career advice and how to get in touch with potential employers, welfare support in relation to
accessing finance, safety and legal advice, accommodation advice and tips for renting and living with others, as well as multi-faith services.
Emergency and Crisis Support
